Introduction

Wound diphtheria is a dangerous disease that can lead to serious consequences for human health. This is a bacterial infection caused by diphtheroid. Diphtheroids affect the mucous membranes of the mouth, nose, throat and skin. Wound diphtheria is also called pityrosporum or diphtheritic erythrematosis.
