Kidney lobe

Renal lobe (kidney lobes) - a value (%) expressing the ratio of the kidney parenchyma (including its medulla) to the total surface of the kidney. Corresponds to the amount of functioning tissue (calculated based on intrarenal clearance of endogenous creatinine or calculation of the volume of functioning parenchymal tissue). Used primarily in uronephrology to assess renal function in nephrogenic arterial hypertension
