Don Long

Don Long - American bodybuilder, born on October 18, 1966 in Philadelphia in a large family: he was the third child, also has an older sister Michelle, an older brother Cordell and a younger brother Anthony. The boy spent his entire childhood in the town of Elizabeth, which is located in North Carolina. In 1985, when the Log family moved to the city of Alexandria, Virginia, Don visited the local gym for the first time, and, feeling a craving for Iron Sports, began to work out intensely bodybuilding

Worth mentioning that one interesting fact, that Don did not set himself the initial goal of becoming a bodybuilder and pumping up hefty muscles. At that time, he was actively interested in dancing, and came to the “rocking chair” only for the purpose of maintaining his body in excellent physical shape. So to speak, to be more attractive and look better while dancing. When weight training began to bring visible results, and Don realized that he could achieve a lot in this area, the priorities in his life changed dramatically - he had to forget about dancing and completely switch to bodybuilding...

In March 1991, Don took part in his first serious tournament "Mr. Philadelphia", where he successfully won an honorary second place. A month later, he met his future wife Evit, and, as Don himself says, “It was love at first sight.” Just a month after they met in December 1991, they got married...

In 1992, Don took an honorable fifth place among junior light heavyweights, with his own weight of 88 kilograms. But a year later, in 1993, Don was able to finish fourth, weighing 101 kilograms. And in 1994, weighing 109 kilograms, he rose to the third step of the podium, losing only to Paul DeMaio and Craig Titus. A year later, in 1995, Don became a professional IFBB bodybuilder, and now his photos adorn all the glossy covers of sports magazines...

Someone said that bodybuilding is the greatest art of overcoming. This statement was confirmed by Don Long 200%. This man doesn't just play one of the hardest sports without kidneys, existing exclusively on hemodialysis. And at the same time he manages to perform on the professional stage and achieve serious victories. In our opinion this is a real triumph of human will! Look at his photo. Well, isn't this the body of a real Champion?
