Dosage forms: solution for injection 25 mg, solution for injection 0.25%

Composition: Active substance: Droperidol.

Indications for use: Neuroleptanalgesia (usually in combination with fentanyl) for preparation for instrumental studies, incl. endoscopic and surgical interventions, anesthesia; pain and shock during injuries, myocardial infarction, severe attacks of angina pectoris, pulmonary edema, hypertensive crisis, psychomotor agitation, hallucinations, nausea and vomiting during diagnostic and surgical procedures.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, extrapyramidal disorders, cesarean section, early childhood (up to 2 years).

Side effects: Dysphoria, drowsiness, hallucinations, depression, arterial hypotension, extrapyramidal symptoms, with increased doses - anxiety, increased excitability, fear. Rarely - dizziness, trembling, laryngospasm, bronchospasm, anaphylactic reactions. When administered in combination with fentanyl, arterial hypertension may develop.

Interaction: Benzodiazepine derivatives enhance, and dopamine receptor agonists (bromocriptine) weaken the effect. Increases the activity of opioid analgesics, hypnotics and anesthetics.

Overdose: Characterized by an increase in the severity of side effects against the background of arterial hypotension. Treatment: if extrapyramidal disorders occur, antiparkinsonian drugs are used; A decrease in blood pressure can be controlled with analeptics and sympathomimetic drugs.

Special instructions: Restrictions on use: During pregnancy, it is used in cases where the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. To prevent orthostatic hypotension, care should be taken when transporting the patient (you cannot quickly change body position). Elderly and physically weakened patients are recommended to reduce initial doses. Use with caution in case of impaired liver and kidney function. Use only in hospital settings.
