Friends in the picture: how to use pictures to communicate with your child

When we communicate with children, we always try to find ways to make our communication interesting and educational. One such way could be to use pictures of animals or children.

If you want to spend the day away from home and leave your child for a few hours, ask him to look through old magazines you have and look for pictures of animals or children in them. Have your child cut out the pictures and glue them onto a piece of construction paper. This can be a great activity for your child to develop motor skills and imagination.

In the evening, before bed, sit down with your child and talk about these pictures. Ask him to come up with a name, family, friends, favorite games, and favorite food for each character. This will help your child develop imagination and creative thinking, and also teach him how to write stories.

Collect a collection of such pictures and let your child choose from them the one he would like to talk about this evening. You can introduce one character to another by telling stories about how they met and became friends.

Instead of lecturing your child on how to behave, you can use pictures to do this. Tell us what the child shown in this or that picture should do. For example, if the picture shows a child sharing toys with his friend, you can talk about why this is important and how it helps the friendship.

Therefore, using pictures of animals or children can be a great way to communicate with your child. This will help develop his imagination, creative thinking and social skills. Try this method and you will see how interesting and productive communication with your child can be!
