Dubois Symptom

Dubois's sign is one of the signs of vascular disease of the arm or Hoffman's disease. With this symptom, the hand goes numb, and the muscles begin to contract and twitch. To determine the presence of this symptom, you should try to clench your hand into a fist and hold in this position for a few seconds. If during the process you notice that your hand begins to tremble or there is a feeling that you are holding your hand during a cramp, this is Dubois’ symptom. Typically, this symptom occurs when fainting or darkening of the eyes occurs. The symptom is sometimes confused with other disease symptoms such as hemiparesthesia or peripheral paresis.
