Edebolsa nephropexy (also known as bowel seeding or enteropexy) is a surgical procedure to move the bowel (usually the sigmoid colon) into the muscle area of the abdominal wall in order to reduce or prevent an abdominal hernia. This technique is also used for hiatal and navel hernias, as well as uncomplicated intestinal anastomoses. This procedure is most common in the world in developing countries, where surgical care can only be obtained in specialized institutions with a high level of care. The operation is called intestinal pedanskirsus, or edebolaki-nephoperia.
