Equifinality

Equifinality is a theoretical state of a system in which it finds itself as a result of changes in environmental factors, that is, under the influence of changes in external factors, our system can achieve a state of equilibrium, but only under certain conditions.

In the context of socio-economic development, equifinal societies are considered the most stable type (gold standard), since they arise when external conditions change. This assumption is supported by many examples in history, such as the empires of the past, examples of early capitalism in Europe, such as the English Revolution and the American Revolutionary War. In addition, in modern science, the theory of equifinality plays an important role in understanding economic processes.
