Electroknife

An electric knife is a surgical instrument for bloodless dissection and coagulation of soft tissues using high-frequency current supplied to the working surface of the instruments from a generator.

The electric knife allows the surgeon to make cuts and coagulate vessels simultaneously, without resorting to additional instruments and hemostasis measures. Thanks to this, high speed and accuracy of the operation are achieved, and blood loss and the risk of complications are reduced.

The operating principle of the electric knife is based on the conversion of high-frequency electric current into thermal energy upon contact with tissue. This leads to tissue cutting and simultaneous welding of small vessels.

Electroknife is widely used in various fields of surgery, especially in endoscopic and laparoscopic operations. Its use makes surgery as gentle and safe as possible for the patient.

Electroknife is an electrosurgical high-frequency instrument. It is used in surgical practice for bloodless coagulation and bloodless resection. They are used to dissect living tissues of the body, especially soft ones. Bloodless dissection is achieved through thermal coagulation of blood vessels.
