The terminal section of the tubular consists of a stalk or root and forms a sinus. In millipedes with an odd number of pairs of sublimb limbs, at the end of the intestine there is a blindly ending terminal section. In this section, pseudoectoderm cells form folds, membranes, cocoons, pockets and tubes. These formations are functionally connected to the internal canal. Some millipedes (polychaetes) have suction cups at the ends of their bristles.
