Episcleritis

Episcleritis is an inflammatory disease of the eyelids and cornea (corneal endothelium), developing against the background of arthritic or systemic diseases. During the day, the eye is open, irritating warm and dry air flows onto closed eyelids, which can cause inflammation, creating the preconditions for exacerbation of secondary dry eye syndrome and an allergic reaction of the body to certain cosmetics. You should also take into account age-related changes in the properties of the epithelium and its tendency to inflammation.
