Epithelioma Velvety

Epithelioma velvety is another name for keir erythroplasia.

Keira erythroplasia is a precancerous lesion of the mucous membrane of the mouth and lips, in which areas with a slightly raised surface of a velvety red color appear on the mucosa. This disease can transform into squamous cell carcinoma.

The causes of Keira erythroplasia are not fully understood. Risk factors include smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, vitamin deficiency, and chronic injuries to the oral mucosa.

Diagnosis is made based on visual examination and biopsy results. Treatment usually consists of surgical excision of the affected tissue and subsequent histological examination.

Thus, epithelioma velvety and queira erythroplasia are synonyms, denoting the same precancerous disease of the oral mucosa. Timely diagnosis and treatment are necessary to prevent the development of cancer.
