Esophagomanometry

From the article you will learn what Esophagoraphimanmetry is. Why is it needed? - When examining an ingested radioisotope probe inserted into the distal part of the esophagus; allows for a quantitative analysis of the evacuation of food from segments of the esophagus. Allows you to judge the state of air filling of parts of the esophagus located below the cuff of the device or

**Esophagometania** is a method of identifying the functions of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum by studying their motor activity as a result of repeated insertion into one of these organs of a balloon connected to an esophagometer or gastroduodenomanometer. Ez-phagometry is used to determine the maximum amplitude of peristalsis, the duration of its phases (or the duration of the motor state), the presence of periods of relaxation, the number and intensity of rapidly occurring muscle contractions during peristaltic movement, as well as to determine the effect on the activity of the esophagus of substances affecting its sensitive zones.
