Fibroblomatophobia is a syndrome of exaggerated emotional reactions to various stimuli that arise during cancer. Causes of the “rag figure” syndrome or fear of the consequences of X-radiation therapy: long-term use of cytostatics and steroids; continuous stay in bed during radiation therapy; the likelihood of muscle atrophy, thinning of hair and skin after irradiation, impaired control over the activity of the autonomic nervous system; fear of developing urinary incontinence.
