Gastroenterology

The current level of development of science and technology allows us to diagnose and treat most diseases of the gastrointestinal tract at the earliest stages of their development. High-quality treatment is possible only with timely and accurate diagnosis, which is carried out by qualified doctors. Gastroenterological diseases cause pain, indigestion, and often result from inflammatory processes

***Gastroenterology*** is a branch of medicine that studies diseases of the stomach, small and large intestines, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, and esophagus. The term was introduced by the French clinician Joseph Pinard (Paul Fournier) in 1876. He used this word to refer to intestinal diseases such as syphilis.

Scientists have developed many methods based on physiological mechanisms aimed at restoring normal functions of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT). This includes the use of selective prokinetic drugs to improve the motility of the gastric system, dilute the viscosity of digestive enzymes, and enterosorbents to remove toxic components from the body.
