Genitourinary System

Genitourinary system

The genitourinary system combines the urinary, urinary and genital organs, which are related to each other in their development, location and function (Fig. 1). Thus, the excretory ducts of the urinary and genital tracts in men unite into the urethra, and in women they open into a common space - the vestibule of the vagina.

In modern anatomy, instead of M. s. There are two organ systems: the urinary system, which ensures the formation of urine and its removal from the body, and the external and internal genital organs, which provide the reproductive function.
