Ginofort

Gynofort: an effective remedy for vaginal candidiasis

Ginofort is a vaginal cream produced by Gedeon Richter A.O. in the United States of America. The active ingredient of the drug is butoconazole, which belongs to the group of antifungal agents, imidazole and triazole derivatives.

The drug is intended for the treatment of vaginal candidiasis caused by Candida albicans. Vaginal candidiasis is a common condition in women that can cause burning, itching, tenderness and swelling of the vaginal wall, as well as pain and cramping in the lower abdomen. In addition, candidiasis can cause unpleasant odor and vaginal discharge.

The use of Ginofort eliminates the symptoms of vaginal candidiasis and destroys the causative agent of the disease. However, the drug has a small number of side effects, which can manifest themselves in the form of burning, itching, soreness and swelling of the vaginal wall.

It is important to note that the drug has a number of contraindications. The use of Gynofort is not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug, as well as during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

It should also be borne in mind that after using Ginofort it is not recommended to use condoms or vaginal diaphragms for 72 hours, as the drug may reduce the effectiveness of these contraceptives.

In case of an overdose of Ginofort, you should seek medical help. In case of accidental ingestion of the drug, gastric lavage is necessary.

Thus, Gynofort is an effective and safe remedy for the treatment of vaginal candidiasis. However, before using it, you should consult your doctor and make sure there are no contraindications.
