Hypodactyly

Hypodactyly is a congenital abnormal development of the hands, in which the distal phalanx of the ring and/or index finger grows first and independently of all the others. It can be easily palpated on the table, marked by rejection of the fingertip. Hypodiactia can be mono or polytetradactyl (long mouth syndrome). One of the names of the syndrome is infantile rudimentary polydacty. Researchers were able to detect this anatomical feature in 2% of people.
