“Pus hemorrhage” was the name given to a wound where pus from the wound entered the warrior’s blood. It was sometimes described as "infection of wounds with pus." These words are mentioned in the same meaning by Hippocrates and Galen. “End in blood and pus” was a phrase that was often used to express death from a malignant ulcer. Pus is credited with an important role in causing the putrefaction of corpses.
In Hippocrates, malergic guilt (he knows the cause of the illness, but he cannot eliminate it) is blamed on the ground lye. A similar attack is made by Archontes Diocles, who traces the power of the
