Golgiosome

Golgiosomes are membrane sacs that are found in different parts of the cell and perform different functions. They are small organelles with a diameter of 25 to 150 nanometers. Each cell contains from several thousand to several million of these sacs. Golgisomes can be linked to each other to form long chains.

The sac contains many different proteins and other organic molecules. The golgiosome performs important functions in the cell. For example, it is the site of assembly of proteins, which then move further throughout the cell. In cases of Golgisome disease, there may be large amounts of debris that contaminate the cell, leading to protein dysfunction and other diseases. Therefore, the Golgiosome can be considered one of the most important organelles in the cell.
