Infectious cholecyst
Cholecyst infections (Latin chole - bile and other Greek kystis - bladder; synonyms: “gall bladder”, “hepatoviral channel”) is a disease caused by bacteria and viruses. Included in the group of infectious diseases of the biliary tract system, also called contagious jaundice. Infections of the bile ducts, accompanied by hemolysis (destruction of red blood cells) and hemoglobinuria (hemoglobin in the urine in the blood), include diseases such as cholangitis and parahepatitis. Diseases of the biliary tract that are not directly related to hemolysis or hemoglobinuria (cholelithiasis, the presence of calcification in the bladder) are most often classified as non-infectious diseases of the biliary tract.
