Chromocystoscopy

Chromocystiscopy is a method of examining the bladder using a methylene blue solution. Used to diagnose various diseases of the bladder, urinary tract and prostate. This study can also be used to assess the function of the urinary system after surgery on the bladder or ureter.

The procedure itself is quite simple - you need to drink a solution of methylene blue, and the color of your urine will change to blue. Next, the patient must empty the bladder and stand in a certain position. After this, the doctor examines the condition of the bladder using various instruments (urethroscope, cystoscope).
