Bilem: description of the drug, its properties and application
Bilem is an anti-estrogen drug produced by the Mexican company Lemery. Its active ingredient, tamoxifen, is used to treat breast cancer, especially in menopausal women, endometrial cancer, anovulatory infertility, oligospermia, pituitary tumors, kidney cancer, and soft tissue sarcoma.
Bilem comes in the form of tablets containing 10 mg or 20 mg tamoxifen. It works by blocking the action of estrogen in the body, which helps slow the growth of cancer cells and also increase sperm count in oligospermic men.
However, like all medicines, Bilem has its contraindications and side effects. It should not be used during pregnancy or with thrombophlebitis. Also, its use is limited for leukopenia, thrombocytopenia and hypercalcemia.
Side effects of Bielema may include gastrointestinal disorders, dizziness, skin rash, hypercalcemia, thrombocytopenia, mild metrorrhagia, thrombosis, fever, corneal opacification and retinal degeneration.
When using Bielema, it is necessary to monitor the number of leukocytes, platelets, calcium levels and indicators of the blood coagulation system. You should also consider interactions with cytostatics, which may increase the risk of thrombosis.
In case of an overdose of Bilem, adverse reactions may intensify and symptomatic therapy is required.
Overall, Bilem is an effective medicine for the treatment of breast cancer, endometrial cancer and other diseases. However, as with any treatment, it is necessary to carefully monitor the patient's condition and consult a doctor before starting to use the drug.
