Idiocy Xerodermic

Idiocy xeroderma is a rare disorder of the nervous system and skin, which manifests itself in the form of thinning and keratinization of the skin. This disease occurs only in humans and is the result of genetic disorders in the skin and nervous system.

The idiocy of xeroderma is inherited, and if parents have this disease, then the probability of the child’s disease is approximately 50%. A person with this disease may begin to experience nervous system disturbances as early as childhood or adulthood. The first symptoms may appear between the ages of 20 and 40.

The main signs of xerodermic idiocy are thinning, keratinization and loss of elasticity of the skin in areas of the body exposed to strong solar radiation: the face, neck, shoulders and arms. Symptoms may not appear immediately, but only with prolonged exposure to the sun or other conditions that provoke sunburn. In this case, blisters filled with liquid appear on the skin, it becomes red, painful and hot. Over time, the blisters burst, leaving behind scars.
