Pufferfish

Pufferfish are a family of fish that contains about 700 species. They are common in tropical and subtropical waters around the world, including rivers, lakes, mangrove swamps and coral reefs. These fish have an interesting body structure, which is an elongated, laterally compressed parallelepiped with a smooth shiny surface and bright spots on the sides. Between the two fins they have spines that protect the fish from predators. Their size varies from a few centimeters to 5 meters in length. The most famous representatives of the family are blenny fish of various subspecies. The Guinness Book of Records records the largest specimen ever caught.
