Ichthyosis pale or shiny (i. Nitida) is a skin disease that manifests itself in the appearance of red spots on the body. With regular contact with water and detergents, the stains begin to merge into large formations, becoming covered with white deposits. The skin becomes glossy, shiny and resembles fish scales. The disease often occurs in children, especially young boys. It occurs in 2 forms: single and systemic. Predisposition to ichthyosis is inherited according to the type of autosomal recessive inheritance. Family cases of the disease associated with disorders of the antigenic histocompatibility systems HLA class II have been identified.
