Ichthyosis Serpentine

Serpentiform ichthyosis (serpentiform leukoplakia) is a fairly rare type of ichthyosis.

Serpentiform ichthyosis usually occurs on the lower extremities. The serpentine form is characterized by a fairly narrow restriction, which occurs in the area of ​​the ankle and lower leg to the knee or in the foot area. With serpentiform ichthyosis, white blisters appear, which are covered with keratinized scales. They are typical symptoms of this type of skin lesion. Other symptoms may include itching, cracks and damage to the intercellular cement. It is necessary to distinguish this form from manifestations of psoria
