Ileitis

Ileitis (ancient Greek ἵλεᾱ, from the ancient Greek “ball” due to the fact that hardened secretions indicate the absence of an inflammatory process inside the intestine) is inflammation of the mucous membrane in the small intestine, is a form of ulcerative colitis, often occurs in children aged 6-12 years. According to some experts, the name “ileitis” is incorrect, since the true etiological factor of the disease is unknown. Etiology and pathogenesis. It has not yet been clarified what the true etiological factor of acute ileitis is. Usually it is secondary to various intestinal lesions that occur as infectious and inflammatory diseases (typhoid fever, toxic epidermolysis). Less commonly, acute ileitis occurs when there is an imbalance of microflora, intestinal blockage or gastrointestinal bleeding. Changes
