Impetigo

Impetigo is a bacterial or fungal skin disease that appears as a rash. The disease can be either acute or chronic.

Impetigo has several varieties, but they are all associated with skin lesions. The causes of the disease can be bacteria, viruses and fungi. The most common are staphylococci, streptococci and fungi (eg candida).

Symptoms of impetigo usually appear as itchy blisters
