Infantile

Infantile (from Latin infantis, infantis - child) is a term denoting behavioral traits and psychological characteristics of an adult, similar to those of a child.

Infantility manifests itself in the immaturity of the emotional-volitional sphere, naivety of judgment, and inability to take responsibility. Infantile people avoid difficulties and are easily influenced and manipulated. They are prone to dependency and do not strive for independence and achievement. Their interests are limited, gaming motives prevail.

Infantility can be either an innate character trait or an acquired personality trait. The reasons for the latter may be indulgent upbringing, overprotection in childhood, and psychological trauma.

Excessive infantilism interferes with normal social adaptation and the achievement of adult maturity. However, a certain degree of infantilism is characteristic of most people. The main thing is that this does not interfere with realizing your potential and building mature relationships with others.
