Infection Purulent

A purulent infection is a serious disease that occurs as a result of a wound becoming infected. It is characterized by the presence of purulent contents in the wound - “ichor”, which can lead to serious complications if treatment is incorrect or insufficient. A purulent infection can be caused by various bacterial or fungal pathogens, such as staphylococcus, streptococcus and others. Bacteria enter the wound when the skin is damaged and cause an inflammatory process, accompanied by redness, pain and swelling of the skin. Subsequently, the inflammation spreads deep into the tissues, and purulent contents are released from the wound. If treatment is not started on time or is not selected correctly, bacteria can penetrate nearby tissues and cause damage.
