Trousseau Symptom

Trousseau's sign is a classic clinical manifestation of phlebitis of the deep veins of the leg due to chronic venous insufficiency. The main diagnostic method is to determine the height and filling rate of the superficial veins. A pathognomonic, uninformative symptom, indicating mainly the exclusion of the etiology of acute deep vein thrombosis of the lower extremities.
