Inhalation

Inhalation (from Latin inhalo - to inhale) is the inhalation of medicinal substances in the form of aerosols, vapors or gases for therapeutic or prophylactic purposes.

The inhalation method of drug administration is widely used for respiratory diseases, as it allows the drug to be delivered directly to the site of the pathological process, bypassing the systemic bloodstream. This provides a quick therapeutic effect and reduces the risk of adverse reactions.

For inhalation, special devices are used - nebulizers, with the help of which the medicinal substance is converted into an aerosol. There are inhalations through the mouth or nose.

Inhalation therapy is widely used for bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia and other diseases of the respiratory system. It allows you to quickly stop inflammation, reduce swelling of the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract, improve bronchial patency and make breathing easier.
