Preductal: an effective medicine for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases

Preductal is a drug from the group of antianginal drugs produced by Servier Laboratories in France and Russia. Its active substance, trimetazidine, is an effective treatment for coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, ischemic cardiomyopathy, as well as chorioretinal vascular disorders, tinnitus and dizziness, which may be associated with vascular disorders and Meniere's disease.

Preductal is available in the form of film-coated tablets containing 20 mg trimetazidine. It is taken orally, and the dosage and duration of the drug are determined by the doctor, based on the individual characteristics of the patient and the nature of the disease.

The drug is not recommended for use in case of hypersensitivity to trimetazidine, as well as during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Side effects that may occur when taking Preductal include nausea, epigastric pain and itchy skin. However, they are rare.

When using Preductal, no interactions with other drugs were identified. Overdose has not been described.
