Dosage forms - tablets 0.5 mg, injection solution 5 mcg, dosed aerosol 0.2 mg 400 doses
Composition - Active substance: Hexoprenaline.

Indications for use:

  1. In obstetric practice: to inhibit labor contractions, immobilize the uterus before surgery, suppress premature contractions, prevent premature birth.
  2. In pulmonology: for relief of broncho-obstructive syndrome during exacerbation of bronchial asthma and COPD, prevention of bronchial asthma attacks.

Contraindications - hypersensitivity, placental abruption, uterine bleeding, endometrial infections, cardiovascular diseases, liver and kidney diseases, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, first trimester of pregnancy.

Side effects - tachycardia, arrhythmias, hypotension, headache, tremor, sweating, gastrointestinal disorders, hyperglycemia, water and electrolyte imbalance, bronchospasm, anaphylactic shock.

Treatment of overdose is non-selective beta-blockers.

Special instructions - control of hemodynamics in the mother and fetus during pregnancy, caution in diabetes mellitus. Avoid combinations with antidepressants, calcium and vitamin D3 preparations, mineralocorticoids.
