Friability of Tablets

Abrasion is a property of a drug that characterizes the loss of its physicochemical properties when tablets are crushed (abraded). Abrasion of the tablets should not lead to their destruction with the formation of dust both along the edges and along the periphery along the thickness. The drug in the form of dust gives dosage forms friability and fluidity, which makes dosing and uniform mixing with other ingredients difficult.
