As you know, our people don’t even go to a bakery without makeup, and if their skin is problematic, they are in full dress 24/7. In fact, such perfectionism is useless: yes, problem skin needs makeup, but it should not look like a mask.

Features of problematic facial skin
Skin with certain types of imperfections is considered to be a problem. Why do they appear and what do they tell the owner?
Closed comedones and uneven skin texture indicate that the stratum corneum does not have time to renew itself in a timely manner.
If shine in the forehead and nose area It starts to bother you already after lunch, and the coverage of the foundation does not last until the evening, which means that your sebaceous glands secrete too much secretion - sebum.
Acne - the most obvious symptom of problematic skin. Acne can appear periodically, or it can be on the face constantly. Inflammation is caused by a combination of factors that we discussed above: the thickened stratum corneum of the epidermis prevents sebum from coming to the surface, as a result of which bacteria begin to multiply in the pores.

Choosing cosmetics for problem skin
A mistake that all owners of oily and problem skin have made at least once is trying to dry out their skin. This gives the exact opposite effect and leads to increased sebum secretion. If you like long-lasting and mattifying foundations, add a moisturizing gel to your facial care.
The fashion for highlighting does not cancel the taboo on oily shine in the T-zone. But instead of a powder compact, it is better to put matting wipes in your cosmetic bag: layering powder on your face with smudged makeup will only aggravate the problems, but the wipes will quickly absorb excess sebum without harming the skin.

Concealer
Acne doesn't boost your self-confidence, but that's no reason to choose foundations with the thickest texture. Any makeup artist will advise you to opt for BB and CC creams or foundation with a medium coverage, and mask local inflammation with a thick concealer.

Corrector
To mask inflammatory elements, you will need two products at once:
green corrector cover redness;
apply on top concealer to match your skin tone.
Powder
The powder serves to mattify and set makeup. Crumbly textures are applied in a thinner layer, while pressed textures are applied as densely as possible. l
Rules for applying makeup to problem skin
For applying makeup to problem skin, we offer the following scheme.
Pre-cleanse your face with micellar water and foam to cleanse, then apply moisturizer. If dense textures are not your thing, use cream-gel or fluid.
To disguise enlarged pores, use silicone primer on those areas of the skin where pores are most noticeable.
If you love foundations with a denser texture, apply them wet sponge or fluffy brushto avoid the mask effect. We remind you that brushes and sponges must be washed after each use.
Powder (preferably loose) fix the makeup, then spray your face with a fixing spray or thermal water to make the tone last longer.
Makeup Tips for Problem Skin
Below you will find some valuable tips that will help extend the durability of your makeup, which is not an easy task if you have oily skin.

Look for it in primers and foundations salicylic acid. This ingredient not only has an exfoliating effect, but also an antibacterial effect.
Do not apply cosmetics to a dirty face. This rule applies to both concealers and powder. To remove oily shine in the T-zone, use matting napkins, and before renewing your concealer layer outside the home, first cleanse this area of skin with a damp cloth.
To blush and highlighter last longer, try a combination of dry and wet products: for example, set a cream blush with a dry product in a similar shade.
Shining textures emphasize the texture of the skin: enlarged pores, closed comedones and acne. You should know about this side effect in advance.

Makeup for problem skin
Step #1 - Moisturizing Primer
As a rule, problem skin is very dry due to the fact that girls in every possible way “poison” it with various cleansing tonics and lotions. As a result, the skin flakes off, and it is simply impossible to apply foundation without moisturizing.
Therefore, the first step in our makeup for problem skin was a special moisturizing primer: this base prepared the face for makeup, making the skin smoother and hiding flaking.
Back, rest: in what position should you sleep so that your back does not hurt?
Step No. 2 – Make up your eyes and eyebrows
The makeup algorithm for problem skin is radically different from regular makeup. The fact is that the tone that we apply to hide imperfections cannot be touched with your hands. That is why you need to first apply makeup to your eyes and highlight your eyebrows.
For our model, I used brown and nude shades. The skin tone will be dense, which means that in eye makeup we must achieve maximum naturalness so as not to “overload” the image.
Step #3 - Thick Tone
How to properly apply makeup on problem skin? If the rashes on the face are really strong, then it is better to apply the foundation not with your hands or a brush, but with an airbrush. This is a professional device that sprays the tone in an even thin layer on the skin. Recently, the airbrush has been very popular; it can easily be ordered in online stores.
I first covered my dark circles and blemishes with concealer and then airbrushed on the first layer of foundation. You need to let it dry - wait literally 30-60 seconds. To ensure perfect skin texture, apply 1-2 more layers of tone. When the cream dries, you need to powder your face over the entire surface.
Step #4 - Light Contouring
At the very end, when we achieved an even complexion, I did light contouring: I highlighted the cheekbones, walked the corrector along the sides of the bridge of the nose, and on the forehead - at the hairline. And, of course, I added a little highlighter to the middle of the forehead, the bridge of the nose and the upper corners of the lips.

For those with healthy skin, it is enough to apply a thin layer of light texture foundation or lightly powder your face to even out and make its color perfect.
Problem skin requires a more serious approach. It is very good if acne and inflammation on your face do not cause you discomfort. Alas, most young girls prefer to hide these temporary “elements” of their appearance.
As already mentioned, a thick layer of foundation will only worsen the situation by clogging the pores. In addition, problematic skin under foundation looks uneven and bumpy. To “paint over” problem areas of the skin, it is preferable to use spot concealers.
Concealers will help hide not only acne, but also dark circles under the eyes, age spots, vitiligo, spider veins (rosacea) and even subcutaneous hematomas.
So, all corrective products differ in shape and color. Concealers can come in the form of a cream, gel, stick or tube. Concealer concealer looks like either a lipstick or a contour pencil.
A lipstick-type corrector is suitable for covering large areas, such as dark circles or bruises. Standard pencils are suitable for camouflaging smaller skin imperfections.
The concealer is convenient to use in a tube with a thin elongated spout, which makes it very easy to apply the corrective product.
Many girls are put off by the “exotic” colors of camouflage masks. In addition to the usual beige colors and shades, the camouflage palette includes lilac, blue, green, yellow, orange and white. Of course, if you quickly cover the blackhead with green concealer, you will not achieve the desired effect. Instead of a red spot, a green spot will simply appear on your face. In order for concealers to really “work”, it is necessary to follow the technique of applying them.
Cleanse your face and apply day cream. After 10 - 15 minutes, wipe off the remaining cream with a soft cloth or cotton pad. Apply concealer. For liquid concealers, use a cotton pad, sponge or brush, or work in with your fingertips. Carefully blend the line of application of the corrective product. Then gently blot the “painted” areas with a soft cloth to remove any excess. Carefully, trying not to smear the concealer, apply foundation or powder. Do not rub the made-up areas of the face, but treat them with blotting movements.
Artists often mix different paints to create new colors and shades. About the same thing happens when applying concealer. The color of problem areas of the face differs from the color of healthy skin. The color of the concealer is mixed with the color of the problem area, resulting in a new shade. Foundation or powder, in turn, is applied to this shade and evens out the complexion.
Which corrector should you choose?
Pimples, acne, and inflammation are masked using a dry pencil or green or, less commonly, gray emulsion. Such correctors may contain substances that help eliminate acne. Salicylic acid accelerates healing, antiseptic substances dry out open comedones, relieve swelling, and soothe inflamed skin. Concealers with a therapeutic effect are applied to cleansed skin 10 - 15 minutes before makeup.
The green corrector conceals redness, and the tea tree oil it contains dries out pimples. In addition to green concealer, you can also use products in beige shades, but in no case should they be illuminating, otherwise the pimple will only become more noticeable.
The corrective agent is applied to the pimple pointwise. You should not smear it around the inflamed area. After the product has dried, foundation or powder is applied to the face.
Freckles and age spots are covered with thick creamy concealers or stick pencils, while dense dry concealers stay on the skin a little longer. Use white, blue and beige concealers, applying them pointwise to the area covered with freckles, or to individual large pigment spots, and then shading with your finger and powdering. If you plan to apply foundation on top, then the layer should be moderately thick.
Spider veins, individual blood vessels and redness are hidden using a yellow, green or bluish corrector. The concealer is applied to problem areas with a brush or painted over with a pencil, and then shaded with your fingers. Foundation is applied on top. Yellow concealer can be applied over foundation, but then the treated areas must be powdered to even out the color.
Bruises and hematomas (bruises) are masked with orange corrector. The brighter and more noticeable the bruise, the more intense and saturated the color of the concealer should be. The corrective agent is applied to the bruise itself, and then the border is carefully shaded to create a smooth transition to healthy skin. Apply foundation or powder over the entire face.
Yellow spots from old bruises can be hidden using a lilac concealer. The technique for applying such a corrector is similar to the technique for applying a masking agent for bruises.
Some girls suffer from vitiligo, a non-contagious disease in which the melanin pigment disappears in some areas of the skin. As a result, milky white spots of different shapes and sizes appear on the body and face. With proper treatment, vitiligo can be eliminated. Of course, this is not a matter of one day.
A dark concealer will help temporarily hide white spots on the skin. Its shade is selected based on skin tone. When masking a white spot, do not go beyond its boundaries, otherwise the dark outline will become too obvious. To even out the tone, foundation or powder is applied to the entire face.
Dark circles under the eyes will be less noticeable if you apply a concealer in a yellow, blue or lavender shade. The yellow corrector is applied after the main tone, and the “colored” ones are applied under foundation or powder. The texture of the concealer should be light and creamy, and the product itself should not dry out the skin. When applying concealer, do not go beyond the boundaries of dark areas. In this regard, the technique for covering up circles under the eyes is similar to the technique for covering up bruises.
Dark circles under the eyes can also be disguised using foundation. However, it must be applied in a very thin layer so that it does not accumulate in the wrinkles and grooves of the skin. The shade is chosen 2 shades lighter than the main tinting agent.
Last tip. If you need to urgently touch up your makeup and don’t have blush on hand, use contour pencils in suitable shades. Apply a few strokes to your cheekbones and blend them out.

Makeup for problem skin: rules. How to hide and remove skin imperfections
Every woman knows that any makeup should decorate her appearance, or rather, emphasize her beauty and hide flaws. Nowadays, makeup can be used to hide and disguise various skin problems, such as acne and inflammation, which are often found in young women and girls.
Masking skin problems with makeup should be temporary. You cannot expect that you can hide acne, inflammation and other unpleasant problems with makeup at any time. If you do this constantly, there will be more problems. It is necessary to treat skin diseases, and for this you should use the services of specialists, experienced dermatologists. Many concealing cosmetics are quite oily, and therefore they can worsen the appearance of acne. In any case, cosmetics containing petroleum jelly and lanolin are contraindicated for acne. Any oily cream can stimulate the development of acne: it clogs the pores of the skin. As a rule, all moisturizing creams are made based on some kind of oil.
Therefore, many products for combating pimples and acne do not have the desired effect, but simply mask defects due to the consistency and color close to the natural color of the skin.
It is more advisable to care for oily skin using so-called “dry” creams that have an alcohol base and a simpler composition.
How to hide acne
Of course, there is only one way to get rid of acne: start taking proper care of your skin. However, skin problems are not immediately solved, but you always want to look attractive, or at least acceptable. In this case, concealers that can hide acne and inflamed skin areas will come to the rescue.
For example, a concealer pencil or cream that matches your skin tone.
Apply a little cream to the inflamed area and lightly rub into the skin, and when it dries, powder your face. It is better to use antiseptic powder. Another way is to apply a greenish foundation to the inflamed areas. This color of the cream visually neutralizes redness and makes it less noticeable. You can apply makeup on top of the greenish cream as usual.
How to hide acne scars
It can be quite difficult to disguise the so-called acne craters - scars left after acne. To do this, you can use a special corrective agent that contains silicone. In this way, you can even out the surface of the skin by filling the resulting depressions and depressions. Apply makeup-setting powder on top, preferably loose. There is also a foundation that is used specifically to disguise skin blemishes.
How to hide spider veins and spider veins
Middle-aged women sometimes develop red spider veins on their faces. Of course, this problem requires special treatment from a cosmetologist or dermatologist, but for now it can be masked using the same greenish cream. A greenish concealing cream is applied in those places where vasodilation is most noticeable, and then makeup is applied - opaque, but matching the shade of your skin.
Spider veins become less noticeable on dark skin. If you use artificial tanning cream, your facial skin will become darker and the dilation of blood vessels will be masked.
How to hide freckles
Freckles, by and large, are not skin defects, and they even suit many of their owners, but still, most girls and women strive in every possible way to get rid of freckles. Of course, in this case, you should take preventive measures to prevent the appearance of age spots and freckles. First of all, you need to avoid direct rays of the sun, use sunscreen at any time of the year and in any weather, and also carry out lightening procedures in beauty salons.
If freckles do appear, then you can use depigmenting (reducing skin pigmentation) cosmetics and exfoliating procedures that have a whitening effect.
You can also irradiate your face with a quartz lamp until peeling appears. When the skin exfoliates after such irradiation, the freckles disappear. You should not carry out this procedure yourself, even if you have a quartz lamp - the process should be monitored by a specialist. Makeup will not help hide freckles completely. The only thing that can be done is to use a transparent and light foundation to even out the light and darker areas on the face. Eyes may appear blurry on a freckled face, so use dark mascara. It is better to choose just red lipstick, without any shades, and pink or coral red blush.
Correction of complexion, wrinkles
Some women have sensitive, even allergic skin. In this case, careful selection of cosmetics is necessary, preferably hypoallergenic. Allergy-affected areas can be masked with a foundation that matches the color of the skin.
Cosmetics of different color shades create different visual effects. For example, white color makes the skin radiant and wrinkles less noticeable; pink color is refreshing; green neutralizes redness; purple reduces yellowness. Brown color, if it is not in contrast to the natural color of the skin, can make the complexion warmer.
Wrinkles are masked with corrective blush. They are applied directly to wrinkles, then blended with fingertips and applied over powder or foundation. White foundation can also visually smooth out the skin of the face if applied under foundation.
Applying makeup on “critical” days can be difficult, as it applies unevenly and changes color for no apparent reason. Therefore, it is better to use compact cosmetics during this period rather than liquid ones.
A very rare disease is vitiligo. Women who suffer from it develop white spots on the skin of their hands and face. These spots are very noticeable, but they can also be concealed using self-tanner (applied directly to the spots), as well as powder and concealer cream.
Unwanted facial hair
For some women, facial hair growth is an unpleasant problem. It’s good if they can be removed, but it happens that experts do not recommend doing this. In such cases, it is better not to use powder at all, and also to abandon those products that contain powder. On a powdered face, hairs become more noticeable, so it is better to choose semi-liquid foundations and other products. Apply the cosmetic product to the skin carefully, without rubbing, taking into account the direction of hair growth.
How to hide your chicks
Another unpleasant problem is chicks. They usually appear in young girls and appear as pinpoint indurations on fairly large areas of the skin. Thickenings containing primary hair form inside the tip, and the skin on top becomes dry and rough. Pimples can be hidden with foundation, but it’s better to deal with them: gently exfoliate with a dry brush, and then rub the skin with vodka. This way you can induce the growth of new cells.
Concealing cosmetics: the right choice
Powder can always help hide defects in problematic oily skin. However, you should not use a puff or brush, as they become contaminated with secretions from acne, secretions from the skin glands, and can only aggravate the problem by spreading the infection further. It is better to use disposable sponges, or cotton ones.
Concealing cosmetics must be of high quality so that the makeup looks complete even with problem skin. Otherwise, cosmetics that run and smear on the face at the slightest impact, in combination with problem skin, will produce not just an unpleasant, but a repulsive effect. High-quality concealing cosmetics will hide imperfections and highlight the best features of your face, without requiring much effort when applying makeup.
In conclusion, we can recall that our skin is a mirror of our internal state, the health of our internal organs. The skin is nourished from the inside, so a reasonable balance of nutrients in the body is very important. Without a sufficient amount of vitamins, minerals, micro- and macroelements, our skin will never be healthy and beautiful, and will age much faster. Therefore, do not forget that a healthy body in all respects is able to “cure” problematic skin itself, and take care of your health in general. After all, in our lives a lot is interconnected, and external beauty is always a direct consequence of internal health.
