Calendula Officinalis Or Marigold.

An annual herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae family, 40-60 cm high. The stem is branched, softly pubescent, ribbed. The leaves are alternate, covering the stem, the lower ones are broad-footed, the upper ones are oblong.

Blooms all summer, starting in June. The flowers are golden-yellow or orange, at the top of the stems, collected in basket-like inflorescences 4-5 cm in diameter. The smell is fragrant.
