Kenena Onychia

Koenen Onychia is the name of a famous Dutch doctor who made significant contributions to the development of medical science in the field of dermatology and the treatment of skin diseases. He was born on November 21, 1928 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

He began his career at Marston Springs Medical School in London, England. There he studied medicine and received his bachelor's degree in medicine in 1953. He then moved to the United States, where he continued his studies and received his M.D. from Columbia University and M.S. in Biology from Harvard University.

In 1964, Onhia returned to Holland and began working as a specialist in dermatology in Rotterdam and then in Leiden, where he served as professor of general dermatology and medical education and expert on leishmaniasis.

Onychia was one of the first researchers to study skin diseases and develop new treatments. In 1975, he discovered a new disease known as lichen planus, which is associated with the immune system and can affect the skin and mucous membranes. Onychia also discovered that lichen planus could be transmitted between people and developed methods to prevent this infection.

However, Onychie was not only a scientist, but also an active figure in the medical association. He became a member of the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Society of Liver Diseases and the International Association of Dermatologists
