Allergic keratitis

**Allergic keratitis,** or xerokeratoconjunctivitis, is an inflammation of the cornea caused by allergens. Allergens can be both exogenous and endogenous. Xenobiotics are medications and chemical compounds introduced into the animal’s body for the purpose of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. Depending on their location, they are divided into general (affecting the entire body) and local (perceived by certain organs). There are different types of chemical allergens. Antituberculosis drugs can cause different reactions in the same patient. Thus, the reasons for the development of allergic conjunctivitis are quite extensive.

Keratitis causes severe pain, which is why the dog cannot find a place to rest. The animal may develop a fever and become lethargic. The animal clearly feels discomfort and shows concern with its entire appearance. The disease can manifest itself when the pet comes into contact with a poisonous weed - boron
