Condyloma acuminate

Condyloma (genital papillomatosis) is a benign tumor caused by infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV). Outwardly, it may resemble a mole or wart, or it may be hard and round in the form of a dome. As a rule, papilloma most often appears in men and women over 20 years of age. In children, the appearance of genital condylomatous formations is extremely rare. To prevent the occurrence of such a disease, you need to follow a few simple rules:

- limit sexual intercourse with new people who are not regular partners. Use a condom. When using a condom, you need to monitor the expiration date. The use of contraceptives is required at the first sexual intercourse.

- avoid sexual relations with pregnant women and other people with infectious diseases. Monitor your intimate health. If a doctor has diagnosed condylomatosis, it is better to undergo treatment together with a sexual partner at home, or as an inpatient in a medical facility. During treatment, sexual intercourse is excluded. A person cured of a viral infection is not infectious to others. An important element of treatment is the prevention of immunosuppression - a decrease in the patient's immunity.
