Leukemia Megakaryocytic

Megakaryocyte leukemia is a malignant disease of the bone marrow. It can lead to various disturbances in the functioning of the body. Many people suffering from this disease lose the ability to create enough healthy blood cells. The number of leukocytes, that is, white blood cells, begins to exceed the norm, which leads to the occurrence of this pathology.

Leukemia megacytic form is one of the most common forms in bone marrow oncology, belonging to the group of myeloid leukemias. It is diagnosed in patients aged 30 to 60 years. This includes an increase in incidence among children and adolescents. The pathology is most typical for women, but the disease does not spare either gender or age. Unfortunately, it is also disappointing that some older people suffer from hematologic malignancies. This often occurs due to their general weakness and reduced immunity. In fact, the process of occurrence of leukemia is possible in various oncological diseases of the hematopoietic system (lymphocytic leukemia, myeloid leukemia). The transition of the lymphoblast pool, genetically foreign to the human body, into macrophages also ends in a negative outcome.
