Lidase: an enzyme treatment for various conditions

Lidase, also known as hyaluronidase, is an enzyme drug used in medicine to treat a variety of conditions. This drug is produced in Russia by several companies, including Biomed, GNIISKLS, Microgen NPO, Virion NPO, Yekaterinburg State Enterprise for the production of bacterial drugs and Omsk production enterprise.

Lidaza belongs to a group of various enzyme agents. It contains the enzyme hyaluronidase, which is obtained from the testes of cattle. Dosage forms of Lidase are presented in the form of a standard sample, a powder for the preparation of an injection solution containing 64 IU (international units) and a lyophilisate for the preparation of a solution for injection and topical use containing 64 IU (established units).

Lidase has a wide range of uses and is used to treat a variety of conditions. It is used for joint contractures, scars after burns and operations, ankylosing spondylitis, hematomas. Lidaza can also be used to accelerate the absorption of drugs administered subcutaneously and intramuscularly, such as local anesthetics, muscle relaxants and other drugs. In the field of ophthalmology, Lidaza is used in the treatment of keratitis, corneal scars and retinopathy.

However, there are some contraindications to the use of Lidaza. It is not recommended for patients with malignant neoplasms, tuberculosis and other infectious diseases and inflammatory processes. When using Lidase, allergic skin reactions are possible.

The interaction of Lidase with other drugs has not yet been studied, so there is no data on this. There is also no information about overdose and special instructions for the use of Lidaza.
