Lymphatic histiocytoma (syn.: fibroblastoma, lipoma, fibrosis, lymphoma or reticuloma) is a rare tumor of rudimentary tissue cells. They do not have a cavity inside, but there are fiber cells or fat cells (lipocytes) that support and nourish the abnormal tissue. They often have a ring arrangement in the skin layers or internal organs[3]. The head and neck areas are often affected. It can occur both before and after birth. The former occurs in infants and is more common in families with certain diseases, such as cystic fibrosis or Wilson's syndrome. The type that develops before birth is also known as Little's disease.
