Line of Sight

Introduction _"A terrible, terrible sight..."_ - this is how veterans of the First World War described what they saw on the battlefield. Line of Vision (LIV or Line of Sight) is one of every commander's worst nightmares. What it is and why it is rightfully called the “line of death” - we will tell you in this article.

History At the beginning of World War II, the USSR had various tanks in service: from the light T-60 to the heavy IS-2. The commanders of these vehicles had to have knowledge and experience - for example, in observing the movements of the enemy and how to repel his attacks. In 1941, Soviet troops near Moscow found themselves surrounded against German tank divisions. Then the command of the Red Army developed a new tactic - the adult line (LVT), which could give an advantage to artillery and infantry.
