Pedicled Flap

Flap operations are one of the ways to provide assistance for surgical diseases. They are called flap because they are performed using a graft flap. This piece (flap) of tissue is taken from the patient's body and then sewn back on. Flaps can be created from different types of tissue, including skin, bone, blood vessels, nerves, and even individual muscles. Pedicled flap graft can be used to cover tissue defects in the human body. Unlike other methods of treating injuries, flap surgery preserves the connection between blood and nerves, which allows for faster healing.

A pedicle flap (also known as a vascular flap) is a special type of medical technique that is designed to reconstruct or replace various parts of the body. One of the most common uses of pedicle flaps is to cover wounds after surgery.
