Lowsley Nephropexy

**Lawsley Nephropexy** is a method of strengthening the kidney during surgery for nephrospagia (inflammation of the walls of the urinary tract in the kidney area). It was proposed in 1945 by doctor Lowsley. A small incision up to 5 cm long is made on the anterior surface of the peritoneum (abdominal wall), to which the kidney touches. The pelvis is covered with gauze napkins soaked in an antimicrobial solution. The wound is sutured tightly. Blood circulation in the kidney is restored, as it is completely covered with intra-abdominal tissues. The operation can be performed either laparoscopically (using punctures in the abdominal wall and connecting internal organs through a tube - laparoscope) or openly. The incision does not exceed three centimeters.
