Lumbago (Shot Shot)

Lumbago (lumbago)

Lumbago is acute pain in the lumbar region, resulting from overload of the back muscles, most often due to improper movements or heavy lifting. Hypothermia may be a predisposing factor. Lumbago is often a manifestation of radiculitis or spinal diseases.

With lumbago, the pain is localized in the lower back, usually on one side. It sharply intensifies with the slightest movement, coughing, sneezing. When pressure is applied to the lower back, severe pain occurs. The patient takes a forced position - he cannot straighten up.

Treatment of lumbago should be prescribed by a doctor; self-medication can lead to complications.
