Pharmacy name: larch sponge - Laricis fungus (formerly: Fungus Laricis).

Botanical description. The solid fruiting body of a perennial woody mushroom is hemispherical or semi-ellipsoidal in shape, 30 cm in height and width and weighing more than a kilogram.

The fungus parasitizes the larch trunk and grows on the surface of the bark.

Active ingredients: resinous substances, agaricin.

Application. Previously, larch sponge powder was used as a laxative and also as a means to reduce sweating in tuberculosis.
