Conscious Parenting

Conscious Parenting

The beginning of the journey largely determines the entire journey. This especially concerns the birth of a person and the influence of the quality of the birth process on the rest of his life. Perinatal practicing psychologists Oleg Tyutin and Ekaterina Ivanova have been working on the development of conscious parenting for more than 10 years. The main points they highlight in this area are:

A natural birth is a birth when no medical or drug interventions are needed. According to statistics, such births are 5-10 times safer than clinical ones.

Natural birth is possible only when a woman consciously prepares for this process and frees herself in advance from fears and any negative ideas about childbirth.

Practice shows that one of the main points that determine the course of childbirth is the relationship between the man, the father of the child, and the woman. There is a fairly accurate aphorism: If a mother bears a child, then a father bears a mother.

Problems in relationships with men lead to secondary weakness of labor, which is one of the main sources of child hypoxia. Therefore, it is necessary for a woman to free herself from insults and distortions towards a man before giving birth.

Childbirth, as strange as it may seem at first glance, is a very sexual process. This is due to the fact that the same bodily zones are involved, as well as the identity of the hormones involved in acts of love and in the formation of the birth state. For many women who went through natural childbirth, physiological sensations and mental experiences resembled the state of orgasm, but more large-scale and multidimensional than during sexual intercourse.

For a child, childbirth is a superload that can be compared to running a marathon, and for a successful result it is necessary to train, so it is impossible to overestimate the role of prenatal hardening.

Prenatal hardening includes a special swimming program for pregnant women, special gymnastics and aerobics, special breathing practices; hardening nutrition, maximally saturated with substances that increase the body’s adaptation reserves and dosed fasting; emotional education of an unborn child.

In order to give birth to a healthy and harmonious child, it is better to begin consciously preparing for its appearance long before conception, namely: carry out preventive detoxification of the body, which significantly reduces the likelihood of toxicosis; free yourself from psychological problems, which sufficiently protects the unborn child from severe manifestations of prenatal syndrome; obtain reliable information about possible options for creating a positive emotional state during the process of conception, pregnancy and childbirth.

A harmonious environment for natural childbirth is usually chosen by future parents together with perinatal psychologists and obstetricians. This depends on the characteristics of the pregnancy, the season, and the social and living conditions of the couple or mother in labor. So, in the summer, many couples, together with their assistants, decide to give birth outdoors, most often in an ecologically safe place on the sea coast. Excellent results are also obtained with home births in an inflatable pool or bathtub.

Generally, water birth is gentler on mother and baby than air birth.

A couple or woman may decide to give birth in a maternity hospital, with an experienced perinatal psychologist recommending the most advanced maternity hospital. One should take into account the fact that many maternity hospitals are periodically forced to close due to the spread of nosocomial infections, in particular staphylococcal infections, but in the home atmosphere this harmful microorganism is practically unable to exist, since it is replaced by the microflora familiar to the family, to which the newborn partially receives immunity during intrauterine life and immediately after home birth.

Early education plays a special role in shaping a child’s positive worldview.
